Kingston, Ontario was Canada’s First Capital. It is located in the beautiful Thousand Islands Region at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. Kingston is 125 miles north of Syracuse, NY (via Route 81 North and Highway 401 West); 165 miles east of Toronto (Via Highway 401 East); 185 miles west of Montreal (via Highway 401 West); and 110 miles from Ottawa (via Highways 416 South and 401 West). There are ample Via Rail (sponsor), bus and plane connections daily and the highways are all four lanes.

The club organizes in-house special events and local tournaments that attract many out-of-town visitors, as well as most of the local area players who enjoy the competition and companionship of such endeavors.

Entire proceeds will support Paul Thurston representation of Canada at World Bridge Series in Philadelphia.

Paul has done so much to support Kingston hospital fund raisers and Kingston tournaments and bridge sponsors. There will be pre-game auction offering all present the opportunity to play with area notables including:

Paul Thurston, Al Smith, Bob Bambrick, Bob Hollow, Malcolm Ewashkiw; Mark Donovan, Shona Donovan, Charlotte St. Amant and Ed O'Reilly.

October 24University Hospitals Kingston Fundraiser

Guest speaker Paul Thurston and wife Jo-Anne will be part of draw to play with pre-registrants who wish, and many prizes from generous sponsors will be available.

Separate games for newcomers and social players. Entire proceeds will go to University Hospitals Kingston Building Fund which gets $9 from Province of Ontario for every dollar donated. Players and other donors receive receipt for income tax purposes. Please watch for updated details.
